    Annual Deadlines for Curriculum, Policy, Course Fees, and Textbooks

    The following are the deadlines for curricular, catalog copy, academic policy, course fee, and textbook submissions. Please keep in mind that all appropriate department and college level approvals must be obtained before the below deadlines.  The curriculum deadlines do not guarantee inclusion in the next UAA schedule and/or catalog, as this will depend on the workload of the different review bodies.  For this reason, we encourage you to submit documents earlier than the final deadlines.

    September 15

    Spring Course Fee Requests - Due to OAA through CIM system (preferred) or by course fee form signed by all parties and emailed to uaa.oaa@alaska.edu

    October 15

    New Program Proposals - Curriculum and catalog copy due to Governance using CIM system

    Academic Program Name Changes - Memo stating the current program name, the proposed program name, and the rationale for the change due to Governance.

    December 1

    Summer Course Fee Requests - Due to OAA through CIM system (preferred) or by course fee form signed by all parties and emailed to uaa.oaa@alaska.edu

    January 15

    Course and Program Actions - Due to Governance using CIM system

    February 1

    Fall Course Fee Requests - Due to OAA through CIM system (preferred) or by course fee form signed by all parties and emailed to uaa.oaa@alaska.edu

    February 15

    Academic Policy Actions - Due to Governance using Word document with track changes

    October 3 - October 28, 2022
    Spring course materials submission portal open for Spring   

    February 6 - February 20, 2023

    Summer course materials submission portal open

    March 7 - March 25, 2022 (To be announced for Fall 2023)

    Fall course materials submission portal open

  • Assessment

    Assessment Deadlines

    October 15, 2022
    Annual Academic Assessment Reports are due to the dean, using the new, streamlined form, with a copy to the appropriate community campus director(s) if the program is delivered on a community campus. The streamlined form was sent in a fillable format to assigned program assessment coordinators the week of September 6. A preview of the questions is viewable here.

    January 15, 2023
    Annual Academic Assessment Reports are due from the dean to the program on January 15, with a copy to uaa_oaa@alaska.edu for posting, and appropriate community campus director(s).

    Changes to Program Student Learning Outcomes or Assessment Plans are due to the Faculty Senate Academic Assessment Committee using the CIM system. Please keep in mind that these will need to be reviewed and approved by the appropriate department and college level groups prior to this deadline.

    April 1, 2023
    Deans     - Send form with dean's input to programs for optional response, with a copy to uaa.oaa@alaska.edu

    April 8, 2023
    Programs     - Submit completed form to uaa_oaa@alaska.edu, with a copy to dean

    August 1, 2022
    Provost     - Official deadline for provost response

    *Note: If the program is fully delivered on a community campus, copy the appropriate community campus director(s) at each stage.

 

  • Faculty Services

    Faculty Services Deadlines

    This calendar is specifically for the Faculty Services Office and Union due dates. Please check with your Dean’s/Director’s office for dates specific to each college/school as these may be different from listed here. Some things may be due to the Dean’s/Director’s office for signatures prior to being submitted in the Faculty Services Office. School of Nursing may have different semester start and end dates. Check on the Faculty Services website for default IDEA student survey dates. If you have any questions or concerns pertaining to the academic calendar, please contact the Provost's Office at 786-1050.
