Through specialized academic programs that integrate groundbreaking research and internships, UAA provides a one-of-a-kind educational experience that opens doors to endless opportunities after graduation. However, not everyone knows exactly what they want to do when they get to college. That’s why many students start their journey as an exploratory or “undeclared” student. This program helps you explore your personal interests, skills and future goals before you select a major.

UAA’s diverse community
Join exploratory students at UAA who come from a variety of backgrounds and experiences. Some just graduated from high school, others are returning to college after starting a family, some are first-generation college students, others are active or veteran military members. No matter what your story is, there’s a place for you at UAA.

Academic advising
Work with an advisor who can help you explore degree programs and identify a major that feels right for you. Academic advisors help you develop a plan that fits your goals and interests while working with your schedule.
