Advising & Registration Days

What are Advising & Registration Days?

Classes fill up fast, so take advantage of these convenient opportunities to meet with an advisor and register for the courses you need to take in your first semester. Attending an Advising & Registration Day is also a great way to get help with financial aid, admissions and other important processes that set you up for success at UAA.

Staff will help you with:

Course Registration

Financial Aid

Admissions Processes

Steps to Take Before Attending:

Take Your Placement Exams

  • Accuplacer is the placement exam for Writing. This exam must be scheduled and can be taken at the University Center.

If your ACT English score is at or above 22, or if your Evidence Based Reading & Writing SAT score is at or above 560, you do not need to take the Accuplacer.

  • ALEKS is the placement exam for Math. Unlike the Accuplacer, the ALEKS can be taken on any computer. All incoming students must complete the ALEKS for Math placement.

To schedule your Accuplacer exam or to begin the ALEKS, please visit uaa.alaska.edu/placement-exams
