| ||Alaska Quarterly Review|
This journal is devoted to contemporary literary art and one of America's premier literary magazines and a source of powerful, new voices. Works originally from AQR have appeared in the following: Prize Stories: The O. Henry Awards, The Pushcart Prize, The Beacon Best, The Best American Mystery Stories, The Best American Essays, The Best Creative Non-Fiction, The Best American Non-Required Reading, and The Best American Poetry.
| ||One Blood: The Narrative Impulse|
A special anthology featuring 31 stories of fact and fiction by new and emerging writers, each stoery written in the first person voice. They were culled from about 3,100 first person submissions to Alaska Quarterly Review over a two-year period. By choosing not to classify them by genre, each story's purpose is unchanged and yet the reader is brought closer to the story's heart--it's narrative impulse.
