New Faculty Orientation
Dear New UAA Faculty member,
Welcome to UAA! We are happy to have you join our superb community of scholars who teach and engage in research and creative activity at five unique campuses throughout Southcentral Alaska. Nearly 1400 professors engage our over 17,000 students in everything from physics to psychology, justice to journalism, Alaska Native Studies to astronomy. It has been said that "the quality of an educational system cannot exceed the quality of its teachers." New Faculty Orientation is just one of the many ways that UAA works to support you as a new faculty member. These two days introduce you to critical information, resources, and support for your teaching, research, and service.
Take a few minutes to explore this site to learn more about UAA's New Faculty Orientation program and other university resources. Orientation takes place annually in the third week of August and all new faculty are expected to attend. The orientation is also an opportunity to meet key senior leaders to hear about their vision for the University.
We are here to support your success. See you in August at the New Faculty Orientation!
