Kristen Mitchell-Box received her Doctorate in Public Health with a concentration in Community-based and Translational Research from the University of Hawaii. Her dissertation focused on the importance of male partner support in the initiation and continuation of breastfeeding and discussed implications for intervention development using a theory-based approach. Her research interests include using community-based approaches and using the life course perspective as a framework to explore issues in maternal and child health.
