Professional and Continuing Education
The Office of Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) facilitates professional development opportunities for educators and other service professionals. PACE works collaboratively with UAA academic units and partner organizations to provide responsive service and support for 500-level courses, workshops, conferences, institutes, and academies. Committed to addressing the community's immediate and changing professional development needs, PACE works closely with school districts, professional societies, and private and government agencies.
In the past year, the College of Education supported professional training for over 2,880 educators in Anchorage and across the state, representing almost 35% of Alaska’s public school teachers. Through active partnerships with the Anchorage School District and other focused professional organizations and school districts, the College generated an average of 211 full time equivalent (FTE) students in each semester and summer session.
The PACE office is dedicated to advancing professional learning while continuing to improve the educational experience of Alaska’s children.
UAA Professional Development (500-level) courses offered through Professional and Continuing Education are transitioning from paper registration forms to online registration.
To register for a course online with the Course Registration Number (CRN), visit UAOnline (for Registration Instructions).
CRN's are distributed during the first class session.
In some cases, the CRN for a course may also be available on MyLearningPlan (for ASD-Anchorage School District courses).
Contact the PACE office for additional course CRN information.
