Alaska INBRE

The College of Health is pleased to participate in the Alaska INBRE (IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence) program at the University of Alaska (UA). INBRE is funded by the National Institutes Health (NIH) National Institute of General Medical Sciences (NIGMS) to promote the development, coordination and sharing of research resources and expertise that will expand the research opportunities and increase the number of competitive investigators in the IDeA-eligible states.

The UA Statewide Network consists of three major campuses: UA Fairbanks (UAF), UA Anchorage (UAA), and UA Southeast (UAS). UAF is the lead campus, UAA is the health-focus campus as it hosts health education programs and is located near hospitals and health care delivery sites, and UAS is a primarily undergraduate campus. These major campuses oversee many extended campuses and learning centers that facilitate distance education throughout the state of Alaska.

Please see this website for more information about, and funding opportunities with, the Alaska INBRE program.
