The Plus 50 Bridge to College & Careers Workforce Credential resulted from the Plus 50 Completion Strategy, which was coordinated by the American Association of Community Colleges and supported by the Lumina Foundation.

Bridge to College & Careers Workforce Credential

The Plus 50 Bridge to College & Careers Workforce Credential, initially geared toward adults over 50 whose goal is to attend college or become actively employed, is now open to all students.

This 120-credit-hour program provides instruction in technology, math, communications, personal financial management and job search preparation. The program helps students develop skills necessary to compete in today's job market or to prepare for college degrees or certificate programs.

In August 2013, the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities approved the instruction program as a workforce credential. It is now housed in the Community & Technical College’s new Continuing Education Department.
