Course Related Information

Blackboard is a learning portal that is utilized by the majority of faculty at UAA. Blackboard is where key course announcements, course syllabi, assignments, and grades are often posted by your professors. You will need to log in to Blackboard with your UAA username and password. If you do not know your username and password you can find them at 

UAOnline is a secure server that the Univesity of Alaska Anchorage uses to allow students to access their online registration activity. Once logged in you can register for classes, print your semester schedule, print unofficial copies of your transcripts, pay your tuition, and more. We recommend logging in to UAOnline regularly to keep your account up to date.

DegreeWorks is a personalized online degree audit that shows you all the classes you need to take to earn your degree. Once you finish a class a check mark will appear next to that category and reduces the risk that you take the wrong classes. This is not a replacement for advising but rather a quick way to check what classes you have completed and what you still need to take. You can also explore other majors by using the "what if" function on the left hand toolbar. To access DegreeWorks follow these easy instructions:

  • Log in to UAOnline
  • Select Student Services/Account Information
  • Select Registration
  • Select DegreeWorks

Dates and Deadlines is a quick resource calendar showing campus holiday closures, deadlines for admissions, priority registration, adding/dropping classes, withdraw from classes, audit deadlines, and more. It is recommended that you check the dates/deadlines schedule throughout each semester.

Academic Success

Looking to brush up on your study skills? Student Lingo is a site created to help you become the best student you can be. You can discover your learning style, improve your note-taking skills, reduce dreadful test anxiety, and provide key learning strategies. These short web tutorials are a useful way to improve your study habits right from your own computer.

The Learning Resource Center (LRC) located on UAA Main Campus is an invaluable resource. They provide tutoring in math, English, and language arts, in addition to providing student success workshops.

Tutoring is also available at the Chugiak-Eagle River Campus.

In addition, individual departments may offer tutoring. Chemistry, physics, nursingmath, and language arts are just a few of the departments on campus that offer additional tutoring services.

Military Student Resources

Whether you are active duty, a veteran, or a military dependent UAA has a variety of resources designed to help you effectively transtion into college. Also we highly encourage you to meet with an advisor to review transfer credits and discuss your long term educational and career goals.
