Get Outdoors! Alaska
If you listen to the radio, chances are you have heard one of the Get Outdoors! Alaska commercials. This organization developed due to concerns about children's detachment from nature and the subsequent lack of physical exercise and increased physical and mental health risks that result.  Local, state, federal, and private stakeholders partnered together to address the detachment from nature that children of today are now experiencing. Check out the website even if you do not have children. It has some great ideas for the child in all of us!

American Psychological Association
The mission of the APA is to advance the creation, communication and application of psychological knowledge to benefit society and improve people's lives. The American Psychological Association is a scientific and professional organization that represents psychology in the United States.  According to the official website of the American Psychological Association, the "APA seeks to advance psychology as a science, a profession, and as a means of promoting health, education, and human welfare." The organization encourages the growth of psychology by promoting psychology research and making sure that this knowledge is distributed. Publications, research, educational materials and psychological resources are available on their website.
