Robin Crittenden did most of her undergraduate work at what was then still the University of Alaska in Fairbanks, but completed her B.A. in English at Washington State University. She also earned a B.Ed. at UAA and an M.A.T. from Alaska Pacific University. She began teaching at UAA after a career as a print journalist and freelance writer, editor, and writing workshop presenter, and several years as a college admissions recruiter and advisor. She has taught courses in first-year composition, technical writing, business communication, oral communication, the short story, and the history and impact of the mass media. She currently teaches ENGL 213, "Writing in the Social and Natural Sciences," and ENGL 120, "Critical and Creative Thinking."
