The Green Fee program was busy over the summer! Two new projects have been funded: the Skybridge Assessment Project, which monitors thermal waste, and the Sustainable Den Project, which replaced all the cutlery and dishes in the Daily Den with low-waste, compostable products. The Green & Gold Bike Share wrapped up a successful summer on September 1st, and the bikes are slowly moving into storage until next spring.

The Green and Gold Bike Share launched! The Green Fee's first large-scale project has been in the works for a while, and we're proud to see it set up on campus. Check out the Green Fee Facebook page for more information on getting your own bike rental. The university publication Green and Gold ran a story on the bike share, and local news station KTVA stopped by for a few interviews.

The Green Fee Board partnered with Off the Chain, Bicycle Commuters of Anchorage, the Municipality of Anchorage, and UAA's Sustainability Club to put on Bike Day. We showed off the bike share's inventory and educated students on bike safety and maintenance.
