Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences Program
Undergraduate Program Options
The Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences (BSHS) program offers three major tracks of study:
The following minor is also available:
The MEDEX track, the intensive physician assistant (PA) program, requires that students already have 4000 hours of patient contact prior to applying for the track. Therefore, this track often attracts students who already have been working in the field for a number or years.
The Health Educator Track, Pre-Professional Track, and Minor in Public Health may also attract students with some work experience, but since there is no "previous contact hour" prerequisite, students in these tracks are often preparing for future careers as health educators, occupational therapists (OT), pharmacists, physical therapists (PT), physician assistants, or for other professional health-related graduate programs.
