CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
2015 UAA Undergraduate Research & Discovery Symposium
The Office of Undergraduate Research & Scholarship solicits abstracts from undergraduates who have or are conducting original research or creative projects. Students whose abstracts are selected for inclusion in the Symposium will present their scholarly work as poster presentations as part of the celebration and recognition of undergraduate research at UAA. In addition, presenters will have their abstracts published in the Annual Proceedings of the 2015 Undergraduate Research and Discovery Symposium at UAA.
Students whose abstracts are accepted will be required to be present on Friday, April 17, 2015, from 3:00-4:00 pm in the Rasmuson Hall to discuss their research or creative project with other participants and attendees of the Symposium.
Abstracts should follow formats consistent with the published literature in the applicant’s field of study and should not exceed 250 words. Please consult with your faculty mentor or advisor.
In order to be considered for participation in the 2015 Undergraduate Research & Discovery Symposium, abstracts must be received by the Office of Undergraduate Research & Scholarship by Wednesday, March 27th. Abstracts will be reviewed by the Faculty Associate for Undergraduate Research and students will be notified of the status of their abstracts in the following weeks.

Students will also have the option of having their posters displayed April 13-16 in the Consortium Library on the Anchorage Campus as part of the Undergraduate Research Fair. and students are not expected to be present with their poster at the Library. Students are still expected to be with their poster at the Poster Presentation Session on April 17 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm in the lobby of Rasmuson Hall.
