Video: Alaska Native art professor awarded grant to preserve ‘endangered art’

As term assistant professor of Alaska Native art, June Pardue has taught students to make traditional baskets, jewelry, garments and more. Recently, Pardue was awarded a Supporting Indigenous Arts Mastery grant, which has allowed her to expand her curriculum by bringing in wood carvers and mask makers.
