The UAA APU Consortium Library and the Department of Music present Looking at Jazz,
America's Art Form. Friday's program will be The Jazz Vocalists, featuring the film
Lady Day: The Many Faces of Billie Holiday. This is the third program in a free series
of jazz film presentations and discussions exploring the cultural and social history
of jazz. It will be held in Library 307 at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 16, and will
conclude the February programs. The last three programs will be held on the first
three Fridays in October.
Karen Strid-Chadwick, UAA professor of jazz studies, will introduce each film and afterwards lead a discussion. Parking is free with the Library open until 11 p.m. The series will conclude with three more programs in Oct.
