Foucault Pendulum degrees: 25, 24, 23, 22 ... 3, 2, 1, none!

The holiday shopping season is already here--who could deny it?--and the UAA Alumni Association has a unique solution for those searching for the perfect gift. There still remain 25 "degrees" in the circle of 360 names to be installed at the base of the Foucault Pendulum installation in the Consortium Library--25 slots that will hold a plaque with the name of whomever the buyer wants. And hold it for a long time. The library's expected lifespan is at least 100 years. In other words, for $100, the cost of the plaque, you can give the gift of a "degree" on the Pendulum to a loved one whose name will live at the Consortium Library for some version of perpetuity. Already 335 slots are accounted for; the plaques have been inscribed with 335 names. That leaves 25, and they promise to go fast.
