Sled Puppy Sing Opera a la Carte!

In a first-time collaboration, the UAA Department of Music and the Anchorage Opera present "Sled Puppy Sing a la Carte!" Anchorage Opera music director Tom Getty and UAA professor Mari Hahn lead the UAA Opera Ensemble in a performance of operatic excerpts featuring works by Mozart, Rossini, Delibes, Gilbert and Sullivan, and a rare excerpt from the Spanish zarzuela "La Revoltosa." Presented in an engaging and highly entertaining style, the performance promises beautiful music, hilarious antics and plenty of audience interaction. This concert marks the beginning of a partnership between the UAA Department of Music and the Anchorage Opera to foster young vocal talent in Alaska. Call 786-1009 for additional information.
