Suicide-survivors conference - Nov. 17, 2007

Saturday, Nov. 17, is the 9th National Suicide Survivor's Day dedicated to the thousands of Americans who have been touched by suicide, and the national conference will come to UAA via satellite and internet broadcast, courtesy of Native Student Services. The conference is scheduled for 9 a.m.; the satellite broadcast will be held in Rasmuson 110 and last for 90 minutes. National Suicide Survivor's Day, sponsored nationally by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, is part of a growing movement toward educating the public about suicide and its aftermath and encouraging survivors everywhere to share their experiences and join together in the healing process.
