Avoid whiteout!

From your UAA Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, please take the time to brush the snow off your car before driving on public streets. Alaska traffic regulations require that the windows, lights, and license plates not be obscured by snow or excessive dirt. If you drive with accumulated snow on your car, often it will blow off and create whiteout conditions for the vehicles behind you. Further, cars need to be able to see your brake lights!
