Big brown bears and ecotourism

The Department of Biological Sciences Seminar for Friday, March 7, will be presented by Dr. Karyn Rode, Research Wildlife Biologist for the US Fish and Wildlife Service in Anchorage. The seminar will be held at 3:30 p.m. in the Social Sciences Building, room 118.

Rode will discuss her findings from her recent Ph.D. work on brown bear behavior on the Alaska peninsula in her seminar, "Brown bears and tourism: do behavioral changes have nutritional consequences?"

As always, these presentations are free and open to the public. And, parking is free on campus on Fridays.
