Summer Institute for Outstanding European Student Leaders in Education

by Kathleen McCoy  |

UAA will host the third Summer Institute for Outstanding European Student Leaders in Education (SIESLE) program from July 22-August 23 in Anchorage. An important goal of the program is to familiarize the SIESLE students with American culture and give them as many opportunities as possible to interact with American people, in professional, semi-professional and personal settings.

The success of this year's program, which will host 13 European student leaders, is dependent on the generous participation of the Anchorage community.

Students are introduced to American families that allow them opportunities to experience the diversity of American family life. Students live on the UAA campus for the first three weeks of their stay and stay with host families the last two weeks of their stay.

The success of the institute depends on the generous volunteers of our community. If you would like to host a student this summer, please contact Ella Pearson at (907) 786-4135 or anegp1@uaa.alaska.edu.
