August 13-14, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Consortium Library, room 306

The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) can be defined as systematic reflection on teaching and learning made public and involves acquiring and applying the skills to research the effectiveness of teaching methods in the classroom.

Faculty will engage in discussion and activities such as Process-Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL), Reading Apprenticeship (RA) and Calibrated Peer Review (CPR), a computerized technology for student peer-review writing assignments. Participating UAA faculty will have the opportunity to share the results of their SoTL implementations and research online with colleagues at all three MAU's.

Please RSVP by 5 p.m. on August 11 to receive a complementary continental breakfast (8:30 a.m.) and lunch.
