UAA/APU Consortium Library changes Internet access policy to help ensure student and faculty access

The UAA/APU Consortium Library announces a new policy that will increase access for students and faculty needing library computers for research or other educational purposes.

library A new policy limits the time that the general public can use the library computers for Internet and e-mail access. The general public will be allowed to reserve a limited number of designated computers for Internet access on a reservation-only basis. This policy requires non-UAA/APU library users to obtain a library card and to sign-up in advance to use a designated computer for Internet access. The time limit for reserving a computer for Internet access is one hour per day. The general public will still have onsite open access to the library's online catalog, full text resources and databases at any library computer.

This new policy is meant to help the Consortium Library's primary user groups, the students, faculty, and researchers of the UAA and APU communities by better managing the general public's use of library computers.
