Please join Mayor Mark Begich and the major institutions in the U-Med District as we formalize the U-Med Green District Partnership on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 10:45 a.m. at Providence Alaska Medical Center.

This partnership symbolizes enormous commitment and leadership on part of one of our largest employment centers in Alaska to re-think how we reduce our use of natural resources for electricity and heating; how we reduce our consumer appetite for paper and other disposables, how we increase the use of alternative transportation, and how we can save money too. Learn how some of our leaders are changing the way they do business as Al Parrish, CEO of Providence Health System of Alaska; Fran Ulmer, Chancellor of the University of Alaska Anchorage; Dr. Doug North, President of Alaska Pacific University and others talk about their successes and commitments.
