Tudor Road/Elmore Road Intersection Closure

The Alaska Department of Transportation (DOT), in partnership with Wilder Construction, are working together to improve access at the Tudor Road and Elmore Road intersection. This project includes additional right and left turn lanes, improved traffic signals and lighting. Please be alert to the following construction:

• The intersection of Tudor Road and Elmore Road will be CLOSED from 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3 to 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 6, and again from 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10 to 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13. Follow construction signs for detour routes.
• During these closures, local and business access will be permitted, but be alert to flagging operations on Tudor Road, at the intersections of Piper Street and Tudor Centre Drive.
• Daily lane restrictions and delays on Elmore Road, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m., during non-closure times.
• Nightly lane restrictions and delays on Tudor Road, from 7 p.m.-6 a.m., during non-closure times.
• Heavy equipment and construction workers on the roadway and shoulder.

We'll do our best to keep you informed as work continues and we appreciate your patience and cooperation during construction. Construction is anticipated to be complete by July 2009.
