Congratulations to Peter Risse and Chelsey Homan, named last week by the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce and the Alaska Journal of Commerce as members of the "Top 40 Under 40" list for 2009.

Risse is director of the Chugiak-Eagle River Campus, UAA's largest extended campus with 5,000 students. Among his many accomplishments, Risse secured grant/contract funding for UAA education programs totaling an impressive $4.5 million over the past 6.5 years.

Homan, currently a sophomore at UAA, entered the world of entrepreneurship at age 19. She created her small business, Doggy Decadents, in 2007 to help finance her college education. Homan makes and sells gourmet dog biscuits, and has established a long list of wholesale clients, including Paw Prince, Country Canine, Alaska Mill and Feed, and Animal Food Warehouse Pet Zoo. Homan also runs an online store where she fills orders from across the globe.
