Join the Elearning Committee to help improve academic technology at UAA

by Kathleen McCoy  |

The Elearning working group is calling for committee members. A subcommittee of the University Technology Council (UTC), Elearn focuses on the use of technology in instruction. By evaluating academic technologies, Elearn makes recommendations on tools and policies to the UTC. This diverse group of dedicated volunteers will work this year to evaluate course management systems and online conferencing tools. Elearn meets every two weeks and requires some small workgroup time. You can expect to spend 1-2 hours a week working. Elearn's next meeting will be Friday, Oct. 8 in the Consortium Library, Room 214. If you are serious about learning tools and interested in volunteering, please contact Jim Weller in Information Technology Services at (907) 786-4656 or jim.weller@uaa.alaska.edu.
