UAA College of Education co-sponsors conference on young children and hearing loss on Nov. 3-5

The conference title is "Facilitating listening and spoken language for the young child with hearing loss." Educators, interventionists and speech language therapist are invited to attend. The national speakers include:

  • Joy A. Murdock Kearns, M.S., CCC-SLP Associate Director of the Professional Preparation in Cochlear Implants
  • Gabriela Lopez-Holzman, M.S., in the field of communication, hanicapped/deaf and hard of hearing

Conference tuition has been waived thanks to sponsorship. Educators should attend Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 3-5. Speech and language therapists should attend Friday, Nov. 5. The conference is limited to 80 participants.
