Tuesday, Jan. 18, Noon-2 p.m.

University Center (UC), Room 145

The UAA Office of Student Financial Assistance will be hosting an informative Veterans Administration (VA) Education Benefits Workshop on Tuesday, Jan. 18 at Noon in Room 145 of the University Center. All students using VA education benefits, academic advisers and other UAA support staff that work with UAA's student veterans are encouraged to attend. The workshop will highlight the benefits of the new Post 9/11 GI Bill (Chapter 33) and will answer many frequently asked questions. We will explain UAA's role in assisting veterans and their dependants in receiving VA educational benefits and educate student veterans on ways they can maximize their benefits. This will also be an opportunity to meet UAA's new Veteran's Coordinator and find out about the many new changes to the Post 9/11 GI Bill that was just signed into law. This workshop is open to the public.

Following the meeting, assistance will be available for students to ask questions regarding their individual accounts.
