February is FAFSA Frenzy month at UAA; series of 'one-on-one-at-one' workshops offered through Feb. 25
by Kathleen McCoy |
The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is your first step in applying for federal, state and scholarship monies. The Office of Financial Assistance is offering a number of "one-on-one at one" workshops designed to help you complete the FAFSA, apply for scholarships, and navigate the financial aid process. Additional workshops have been added to accommodate those only able to attend in the evening.
The financial aid workshops include a 30-minute informational presentation offering advice on the financial aid process at UAA including how to fill out the FAFSA, what to look for on the new 11/12 FAFSA website and application, and things to consider when applying for aid. Attendees will then have access to computers if they wish to submit the FAFSA, complete the scholarship application, accept/decline loans via UAOnline or complete Entrance Counseling or Direct Loan MPNs. First-time and continuing students are welcome.
