UAA Gorsuch Commons to UAA Fireside Cafe

UAA Student Activities is sponsoring I <3 (heart) Kids and Cows, a fun run for charity, which will be co-hosted by the UAA Heifer International Club and UAA Greek Life. Proceeds raised by the run will be donated equally to Heifer International and Covenant House Alaska.

Heifer International is a non-profit organization that fights hunger by providing livestock and agricultural training. Covenant House Alaska is an organization that assists homeless youth in Alaska.

Registration for the race will take place online at www.uaatix.com, as well as on the day of the race, beginning at 9 a.m. The entry fee is $5 for the general public and free for UAA students. Donations will also be accepted!

The race will start at the UAA Gorsuch Commons, follow the paved bike path under Elmore Road, then the trails around University Lake and Goose Lake and finish at the UAA Fireside Cafe.

The race will be followed by festivities including food, music and prizes at the Fireside Cafe. All racers will receive bibs, and the first 200 participants will receive a cow bell. I <3 Kids and Cows t-shirts will be on sale for $15.
