brush-imageIn recognition of the upcoming National Suicide Prevention week (Sept. 4-10), the Student Union Gallery is featuring the exhibit Eleven Hundred from Aug. 29-Sept. 8. The installation incorporating 1,100 shirts (symbolizing the 1,100 nationwide campus suicides each year) was designed to raise awareness about the prevalence and impact of suicide on college campuses.

Brush, a drawing project by Heidi Jensen, is being featured at the Fine Art's Kimura Gallery from Aug. 29-Sept. 23. Heidi says, "During a 2008 residency at the Ragdale Foundation, I was able to spend time at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago. The observations and photographs collected during that visit eventually resulted in this body of work."
