Undergraduate student registration for spring 2012 courses begins Nov. 14 and UAA
is proud to support an important state-wide student degree completion campaign, titled
Stay on Track.
Did you know:
- A bachelor's degree-seeking student who Stays On Track can save $10,000 by graduating in four years instead of five?
- You must pass 30 credit hours per year to Stay On Track.
- Meeting with your academic advisor and using DegreeWorks to plan your course sequencing are proven strategies to Stay On Track.
The Stay On Track campaign goal is to teach you effective strategies to persist with your educational goal and reduce the time to graduate. The campaign encourages you to take 30 credits a year, choose a major early, work closely with an academic advisor, consider summer classes and use DegreeWorks at UAOnline.
On Monday, Oct. 31, the Stay On Track campaign officially launches and the website resources go live. A kickoff event will also be held and will include an ice cream social with UAA administrators and Task Force representatives. Plan to attend a session on Monday, Oct. 31, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., or 7 p.m.-8 p.m., in the Student Union. Attend this celebratory gathering and commit to the Finish in 4 Promise and you'll be eligible to win prizes.
For more information about the campaign, contact a Student Information Assistant at UAA's One-Stop, (907) 786-1480.
