Exhibit on disability history on display at University Center, Jan. 23-27
by Kathleen McCoy |
In honor of Alaska Civil Rights Month, the disability history exhibit which chronicles 3,500 years of seldom-told history will be on display in University Center Jan. 23-27. This 40-foot long display depicts the treatment of people with disabilities from multiple angles, including a moral, medical and social perspective.
Disability Support Services also has related videos, as well as a link to the online version of the exhibit and a call for feedback on our Disability Rights Page. Those who engage with the display and videos by giving feedback will be entered into a prize drawing.
The exhibit will move to the Gorsuch Commons on Jan. 30.
