Do you have some original literary gems stashed in your desk or on your hard drive? It's the 30th anniversary of the UAA/ADN Creative Writing Contest and entries are still being accepted through Friday, Feb. 10. Consider entering your best works of poetry, fiction and nonfiction. Presented in partnership with the Alaska Center for the Book, this long-running statewide contest offers a wonderful opportunity to recognize new writers.

Winning entries are awarded cash prizes, announced in the Anchorage Daily News and selected entries will be published in the Anchorage Daily News and posted on LitSite Alaska.

Contestants may enter one work of fiction (not to exceed 25 pages), one work of nonfiction (not to exceed 25 pages) and three poems.  A contestant may enter all categories in their age group.

Entries must be submitted electronically. For full prize listings, contest rules and information on how to submit entries visit the contest website.
