FTC accepting applications for instructional designer/developer and instructional technologist positions

The Faculty Technology Center (FTC) invites applications for the positions of instructional designer/developer and instructional technologist. The Center assists faculty as they incorporate instructional technology, creates materials for online delivery and works closely with faculty and administrators throughout the institution to promote the effective use of technology in teaching and learning.
As part of the instructional design team, the instructional designer/developer will work together with faculty and other instructional designers to design and develop learning solutions, administer the professional development LMS and conduct research to incorporate the best practices in e-learning. He/she will also consult and work one-on-one with other campus instructional designers and faculty to develop and incorporate effective e-learning tools into curriculum; and make recommendations on purchasing e-learning rapid development tools. The instructional technologist will be responsible for assisting faculty and staff in successfully putting software and technology to work in teaching, research, learning and administration. A core responsibility of the position is the development and delivery of the FTC's classroom-based instructional technology workshops and training sessions. The instructional technologist will also develop and maintain self-help and training materials regarding classroom instructional technology. In addition, this position will help faculty design and deliver course materials and activities and keep those materials dynamic as new technology develops.
