February 2013: UAA bioarchaeology candidate presentation

The Department of Anthropology will be sponsoring a public talk by Lauren Butaric, candidate for a faculty position in biological anthropology. The title of her talk is "Delving Deeper: Interpreting Internal Craniofacial Variation in Modern Humans." Butaric re-examined the relationship of the nasal aperture of Neanderthals and its relationship to cold stress. Her work has been published in the American Journal of Physical Anthropology
