Audubon Alaska partners with UAA


Tess Forstner, a junior at UAA, spent her Alaska summer dressed in Xtratufs, wading through wetlands on a quest for chicks. Boreal birds, actually. She also wrangled a couple dozen volunteers to tromp through their backyard wetlands to monitor key species. Ever felt a wild bird heartbeat? It's pretty amazing, Tess reports.

Nursing camp in Bethel attracts 14 'campers' to learn about the profession

Change to threshold for catering waivers


Annual campus evacuation drills scheduled for Sept. 9-13, 2013

UAA's Anchorage campus will conduct evacuation drills the week of Sept. 9-13. Drills will be conducted during daytime and evening hours to test the bells, horns and strobes, and familiarize occupants with the process for evacuating buildings and reporting to the Emergency Assembly Areas (EAAs).
