Oct. 15, 2013: 'I heart Kids and Cows' charity walk at UAA

Tuesday, Oct. 15, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Begins at Rasmuson Hall

Student Activities is sponsoring the annual "I heart Kids and Cows" charity walk to raise awareness of Heifer International and Covenant House Alaska. Participants are encouraged to do a round-trip of the course, which begins in Rasmuson Hall, winds through the spine to the Social Sciences Building lobby and ends at the Student Union Gallery. Those who complete at least one lap will receive a voucher for a free lunch, which will be provided in the Student Union from 12-2 p.m.

There is no cost to participate in the walk, although t-shirts are available for $15. All t-shirt sales will benefit co-sponsors Heifer International, a nonprofit organization that fights hunger by providing livestock and agricultural training and Covenant House Alaska, an organization that assists homeless youth in Alaska.
