Oct. 3–19, 2014: UAA Theatre presents 'The Fantasticks'

The UAA Department of Theater & Dance is proud to announce the first production of the 2014-2015 season: "The Fantasticks," with book and lyrics by Tom Jones and music by Harvey Schmidt. The play is a morality tale of young love told through the blossoming romance of two sweethearts besieged by their fathers and a bandit.

Debate, faculty forum and discussion: Immigration in Alaska, Oct. 8

A bill recently passed by the Alaska legislature changes the duration of an Alaska driver's license to match the expiration date of a resident immigrant's documentation. Questions have been raised as to the role of the state in enforcing federal immigration laws, the costs to the state of doing so and more. Join us as we debate this new law, and discuss several other immigration issues in Alaska.
