Guest agency: Covenant House Alaska Topic: How can we better help those experiencing mental illness get connected to the services they need?

Forty percent of the homeless youth in our city are experiencing some form of mental illness. Those youth are extremely vulnerable to addiction, violence, commercial sexual exploitation and other issues. Students, faculty, staff and community members-join us to assist Covenant House and contribute your thoughts and ideas to the discussion of how to better serve those experiencing mental illness.

Think Tanks are a monthly community engagement experience in which a nonprofit agency presents a challenge or issue and attendees brainstorm solutions for the organization.

Pizza will be provided by Moose's Tooth.

Note: There is a fee for parking on campus. Please allow extra time to find parking. (map)
