Budget forums with the Chancellor’s Cabinet

by Michelle Saport  |

Note: The May 15 budget forum has been canceled. With our state budget still in flux with the legislature, we are canceling the May 15 open budget forum. Please stay tuned to Seawolf Daily, the FY16 Budget Blog and UAA social media channels for a rescheduled forum date.

The State of Alaska's budget has been in nearly every news cycle in the past few months. The drop in oil prices has significantly impacted the State's fiscal future, and in turn, the University's. What does that mean for UAA? How does our institution plan to deal with the cut in state funding? What might the next fiscal year look like for UAA?

Please join the Chancellor and his Cabinet at the following budget open forum:

Friday, May 15, 1-2:30 p.m. Lew Haines Conference Room (LIB 307)

Though the budget has not been finalized, the Cabinet will share what's current and how UAA is working toward meeting our budget goal.

Listen to a recording of a previous session at the UAA Podcasts page. Learn more about the UAA budget and send in your ideas and considerations here.
