The UAA Student Union Gallery celebrates our 30th annual "No Big Heads" self-portrait competition. "No Big Heads" is a national juried self-portrait competition of limited size. This year's juror is Kiel Johnson, a Los Angeles-based artist with an emphasis in sculpture and drawing. He has been part of collaborations such as installations and short films involving his drawings and cardboard sculptures. Kiel's inventive use of ordinary materials into extraordinary pieces of art has gained him attention and in 2012 he gave a TEDtalk commenting on his artistic process.
