All about the asteroids

Ian Minnock

His dorm room is ground control for his independent research. Geology student Ian Minnock studies NASA-provided data to determine the porosity of asteroids hurtling light years away and he even presented his self-motivated research in Baltimore earlier this month.

UAA grad: 'You find design everywhere'


Edmar Carrillo entered UAA with a blank slate. Now, his résumé is full of experiences: an on-campus job that helped him meet people and practice graphic design, classes that inspired him and a chance to use art as a tool for communicating in the world.
