UA President Jim Johnsen to deliver State of the University address Jan. 12, 2016

University of Alaska President Jim Johnsen will deliver his State of the University address Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 7 p.m. in the Margaret Murie Auditorium on the UAF campus in Fairbanks. Students, staff, faculty, alumni and members of the public are invited to attend. The State of the University address also will be presented via a live webcast here.

Johnsen will address fiscal challenges facing the University of Alaska and his vision for leading the university through the years ahead. His address will assess the strengths of the university including academics, research and working to meet our state's needs.

This event is a special presentation sponsored by UAF Summer Sessions & Lifelong Learning. KUAC will be broadcasting live.

Admission and parking is free. The UA Museum parking area provides the best access to the Murie building. Seating is limited, but overflow rooms will be available for viewing the address if the auditorium is full.
