Welcome to another new semester! Here's a roundup of news and notices from around campus to help you start the semester right.

Important academic dates for spring 2016 Monday, Jan. 11: First day of classes Monday, Jan. 18: No class day Tuesday, Jan. 19: Faculty approval required to add classes Friday, Jan. 22: Add/drop deadline; credit-to-audit deadline; credit/no credit deadline Saturday, Jan. 23: Withdrawal period begins online Friday, Jan. 29: Deadline for section swaps Monday, Feb. 1: Payment deadline March 14-19: No class days (spring break) Friday, March 25: Withdrawal deadline Friday, April 1: Deadline to apply for spring 2016 graduation and ensure name appears in commencement program Friday, April 22: Deadline to apply for spring 2016 graduation April 26-30: Final exams Sunday, May 1: Commencement

Parking enforcement resumes Monday, Jan. 11 Parking enforcement resumes on the first day of classes, Jan. 11. Parking is enforced Monday-Thursday, 7:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Visit the Parking Services website for information on parking permits and violation fees.

Seawolf Shuttle service resumes Monday, Jan. 11 Seawolf Shuttles start running for spring semester on the first day of classes. This semester, the shuttles will run Monday-Thursday, 7:45 a.m.-8:55 p.m., and Friday, 7:45 a.m.-4:23 p.m. Visit the Seawolf Shuttle website for more information.

UAA Campus Bookstore is open The UAA Campus Bookstore is open for all your textbook needs. For the spring 2016 semester, the bookstore will be open: Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-7 p.m.; Friday, 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

If you need to sell back any of your old textbooks, the bookstore now offers perpetual buyback.

All campus dining spots are open After scaling back hours for winter break, all on-campus eateries and coffee shops are once again open and operating with regular hours. For a full list of hours and locations, visit the Dining Services website.

Campus will be closed Monday, Jan. 18 Campus will be closed on Monday, Jan. 18, in honor of Martin Luther King Jr./Alaska Civil Rights Day. There will be no classes or Seawolf Shuttle service.
