USUAA Order of Excellence faculty and staff nominations due March 18, 2016

Know a staff or faculty member who has gone above and beyond in service to students? Nominate them for the USUAA Order of Excellence, an award presented on behalf of all UAA students. The USUAA Order of Excellence will be awarded to two individuals-one outstanding faculty and one staff member-in recognition of their efforts to the campus community.
Candidates may be nominated by students, staff, or faculty using our online form. We are impressed by what a nomination letter says, not by the title of the individual who wrote it. High-impact nominations will come from those who know the candidate well through significant, direct involvement. Nominators are expected to provide detailed anecdotes and examples to support their assertions. The criteria are tied to student-centric elements of the UAA 2017 Strategic Plan.
Candidates must demonstrate significant and measurable contributions to promoting student interests, needs, and welfare within the university community in one or more of the following key areas:
- Expanding educational opportunity
- Increasing student academic success
- Constructing environments that allow for active participation in academic and extracurricular activities
- Enhancing campus life and belonging
- Promotion of cultural, social, and intellectual diversity of students
