Student survey names top UAA faculty

Students who took a Mapworks survey nominated UAA teachers who helped them succeed in college—and Choron Ryan, Vara Allen-Jones and Kristin Bogue topped the list.

David Parret re-enrolled at UAA after discovering the geomatics department, and he's prioritized outreach ever since. To boost his department's visibility, he built a splashy, colorful augmented reality sandbox last summer that's as striking and sought-after as a day at the beach.
